Bright hit the slopes at just 2 years of age, and attacked the snowboard at
age 11 during a poor snow season. Now, just a few years on at 18, she is
ranked the world’s number 2 snowboarder – and Torah’s speciality is
the half-pipe, with its sheer walls of ice – ice that’s incredibly difficult

TREATMENT
PRINCIPLES Nitric Oxide – Benefits of using the BEMER 3000
Why is the BEMER 3000 so effective in improving blood
circulation? The discovery of Nitric Oxide by three researchers earned them
the Noble Medicine Prize in 1998. This research discovery for the first time
explained the success of Pulsed Electro-magnetic field therapy (PEMFT) on a
wide range of conditions Many of the body’s
reactions are actually induced by the release of signal molecules such as Nitrogen

CONDITIONS Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia
affects mostly women between the ages of 35 to 60 from all nationalities and
culture groups. It is thought that around 3 - 8% of Australians suffer from
Fibromyalgia. How may the BEMER
3000 assist sufferers? Fibromyalgia is one of the soft
tissue rheumatic conditions which encompass about 60% of all forms of
rheumatism. This condition does not directly affect the joints but manifests
itself in the connective tissue, tendons and ligaments. Its true cause is
still not known, but genetic factors are suspected and psychological stress,
immune or endocrine abnormalities or biochemical abnormalities in the
central nervous system (e.g. altered serotonin levels) can also contribute to
the development or sustainability of the disease. Severe pain covering large areas of
the muscles and tendons and usually continuing for an extended period of time
(several years) represents the primary symptom of Fibromyalgia. Further
characteristics are a gradually decreasing physical and mental capacity (loss
of vitality), general fatigue, sleep disorders, headaches and depression.
Fibromyalgia is further characterized by so-called “tender points” which hurt
when pressed but do not refer pain. Due to the ambiguity surrounding the
origin of Fibromyalgia, no causal therapy for the disease exists and
treatment currently follows a rather symptomatic approach, dependent on which
of the wide range of symptoms are being displayed. The often limited success
of treatment with painkillers and corticoids does not justify the directly
linked side effects experienced by
patients. Thorough psychotherapeutic
treatments, complemented by low dosed antidepressants can help patients to
gain relief from the symptoms of Fibromyalgia. Further positive effects can
be achieved by means of various physical therapies, such as gentle exercise,

NUTRITION Is Food
less Nutritious Today?
The proponents of vitamins and other food supplements tell
us we need their products to keep healthy. Is this really the case? A report from the United Nations’ Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) will have you
reaching for them… The quality
of agricultural land has declined at an alarming rate over the past century.
Artificial fertilizer is thought to be the main culprit. This chemical
